Graduation Trip to Singapore - Day 2 (City Tour)

Day 2. We woke up at 7am and walked nearby to eat. While eating, we saw a dead bird repeatedly being squashed by cars and eaten by fellow friends. At one point, we also heard a 'snap' sound when a car ran over it. Moments later, it was gone, presumably stuck to someone's car tire. Way to start a day.

The bus picked us up and we went on a city tour! First stop was Gardens by the Bay.

 I like that statue!

We all went up to the bridge and it was really windy. The bridge was kinda narrow and shook a little when someone stepped too hard.

 View from top!

With Sis!

It was sunny so our eyes can't open fully. LOL

A Japanese lady asked me to take a picture of her and her husband for her so of course I gladly accept. They are so sweet together. After that, I observed (okay, stalked) them for a while and noticed that they are rarely taking a picture together. They took each other's pictures with their own camera so I feel bad for them and offered to take pictures of the both of them. I used my broken Jap and she's surprised that I can speak. Haha~ She offered to help us take pictures too!

We went down a longggg flight of stairs.

Nice, right?

 The bridge.

Pic in the toilet! LOL Just because.

Next stop was Merlion Park! We only have like an allowance of 30 minutes per stop so it was quite rushed.

I LIKE.

SG Gems & Metals next!

 I want touch it.

 Close up.

 Cute! ^^

There's 12 people in this pic. Let this be the 12 of us. LOL

 Castle *_*

 Ivory and Ebony chest set.

 I RIEK.

We spent too much time marveling at the gems that we only have 10 minutes left in Chocolate Street. Our next destination. Go figures. Didn't have time to take pics of the chocos but I did buy $10 worth of chocos! Glad that people at home love them! Chinatown, here we come!

Colorful *_* I like colorful things!

Visited this temple in Chinatown. Lit an incense and prayed.

For those born in the year of the Pig.

For those born in the year of the Rat. Me!

 Da Ceiling~ So many lanterns.

We passed by Bugis and headed to Orchard Road. Ate lunch in the foodcourt. We wanted to charge our camera battery so Sis, Chiok, Jia Le and me took the MRT back to the hotel around 2pm. We took a nap until 4pm.When we woke up, it was raining cats and dogs. =.= Free umbrellas from the hotel were all taken and we only have our raincoats so we braced the rain in them. WTF It was not a good idea because our sneakers soon get soaked and pants wet until our thighs.

Jia Le went to buy an umbrella from the hotel and the 3 of us bought from the 7-11 store at the petrol station across the road. It was cheaper.

It was hard crossing the roads because the rain was so heavy and I can't see without my glasses so I had to keep them on. FML We used the umbrellas and covered our bag with the raincoat. While crossing the street, Chiok's raincoat flew from her bag and landed in the middle of the road. Cars are coming and she's still standing there, deciding whether to pick up her raincoat or not. In the end, the poor raincoat's fate was on the road.

We had to cross another road and it was flooding. We jumped to avoid the puddles and Chiok's slippers slipped out when she jumped. They laid afloat on the muddy water and Chiok was walking barefoot. LOL! She went back and picked them up, cursing all the way. Haha~

We stopped to cross yet another road again and unfortunately stood too close to the road. Sis and Jia Le stood the closest. A taxi drove past and splashed water at all of us! It even went into my eye. I hope it won't get an infection. We screamed and ran across the road after that.

We went to the MRT station toilet to dry off and tied up our hair. I accidentally walked into the male bathroom. OTZ So embarrassing!

When we arrived at ION Orchard, it was already 5pm. I didn't get to go to Kinokuniya to buy my Fruits Basket comic because Takashimaya is really far. TT^TT Met up with the rest of my friends and apparently they also had nothing to do because it was raining so they can't go outside and view the Christmas decorations. In the end, they just sat in Kinokuniya reading books.

The bus picked us up at 6pm to go to Night Safari! The last time I went, I was 7 and the only thing I can remember is the snake show. It was still raining and we soon arrived!

For a split moment, I thought it was real.

While lining up, a big ass thunder strikes down near us. It filled the whole sky white. It was so scary and children started to cry but it was okay  after that.

 Can you spot the animal?

LOL There's actually some animals but you just can't see them because I can't use flash. TT^TT

We rode the tram and had to have the flap down because of rain. OTZ so we can't really see much but later we were allowed to have the flap up when the rain subsided. The 'guide' in front was giving information about the animals and such. He said 'Here, we can see the (insert animal)' and there was actually nothing because they were hiding from the rain and he had to pretend that they are there. I felt sad for him.

Guide : Can I see you all giving me a thumbs up if you are still alive and here with me?

Visitors : *Thumbs up*

Chiok : Then, can we see you giving us a thumbs up so that we know you are still alive?

Guide : *Thumb up*

LOL how did she even dare to say that but it was a good laugh. I saw a lioness and a lion. They are smaller than I've expected but the lion is so cool! It reminded me of Leo~ And the hippopotamus was so FAT. I was afraid it was going to burst or something. The tram ride took about 40 minutes. The shows were cancelled because of the rain again.

Wanted to take pics with the eyes but it was raining.

Ate Bak Kut Teh nearby the hotel. I prefer Malaysia one because it has a stronger taste. After that, we walked back to the hotel around 9pm. We showered and the water was so HOT. I can't seemed to adjust it and you can actually see steam coming out from the water.

When I was bathing, the guys knocked on the door and asked Sis to assist them to play a prank on me. They went to every room and pulled the room card out so that there will be no electricity and the  person bathing will scream but no one screamed. Haha~ Thanks, Sis for not letting them pull the card!

Sis and me remained in the room to packed our bags or else we will take a longggg time to do so in the morning.

Then, we went to MJ's room with the rest of them to play cards. The first suggestion was to gamble our money but the girls disagreed so they changed the punishment to whoever loses presses the neighbour's room bell but that would made us hateful so we decided : losers get a flick on the forehead! Or anywhere the winners want to flick.

We were very loud and noisy, I'm sure. Guests on the same floor, thank you for tolerating us. We played till 1am and went to sleep.

MMU Registration Day May Intake (25/5)

Can't sleep the previous night coz I was too anxious >.< But apparently, I will have nothing to worry about. I didn't know Orientation Week would be this fun. Before heading out.  Feels like I'm not in Malaysia... haha XD  Arrived! <3  Waiting to enter Grand Hall...      Arrived at 8.30am and paid for my insurance and waited for my schoolmates after that. Entered Grand Hall at about 9am. The seniors stood in a row at each side and clapped their hands, welcoming us freshies in. I have no idea what they're chanting about though.      We went in and registered ourselves. There were a lot of people... >.< Like pasar malam. I met a friend of Ben's there, Sandy. We hit it off immediately.      After that, I followed Ben to register hostel rooms. We went to the boy hostel and I didn't know. No one told me that girls must register at the girl hostel... OTZ So peopl...

Shopping for Japan trip and CNY

Exam week is here and I only have 3 papers.. There's a long break between my papers so I went home since it's been a long time.. The house looks different everytime I go back because we are renovating.      For the past few months, or should say years, I've been sharing a bed with mom. I has come to the point where I'm too big to even fit in -.- so they moved my sleeping quarter to my cousins' room. I prefer sleeping there as I have my own space after soooo long.. And it's very comfortable. I like to just lay in it at night and ponder about life.      On Saturday, we went shopping! I've never really shopped properly since I've entered MMU, which is about 7 months... because the time constraint just doesn't allow me to. We shopped for CNY but I think it's mostly for our Japan trip this October.. >.> I think I can just re-wear last year's outfits since some of them are still unused. My God, I sound like a cheapskate. ...
