Gradution Trip to Singapore - Day 1 (USS)

So! I went to SG again. This time's a graduation trip with some of my classmates (12 of us). We went on the 17th and back on the 19th. This trip left me bankrupt but it was undoubtedly fun! It was in a way unexpected and was the first time I flew on a plane out of my country.

Woke up at 3.45am. So ungodly. Arrived at Lay Si's house before 5 and Richard's Dad drove us to the airport. His dad was trying to talk to us but we are too sleepy to reply and only managed to mumble. LOL Sorry, Uncle.

Arrived at LCCT at 6am. Some of my friends are already there. There were a lot of people and we rushed to check in. I have no idea how to check in so I'm glad that some of my friends knew how to. I hand carried all of my bags because I'm very lazy to pick them up later.

 We arrived!

We found the tour guide who will be bringing us around. We are supposed to go on a City tour according to our schedule but apparently her schedule said otherwise. The city tour is tomorrow. WTF so we had no choice but to go to Universal Studio today. And it was already 12pm. 

 We had the whole bus to ourselves.

To make it worse, we had to take the MRT unchaperoned to Universal because the tour guide said that it was free and easy that day and the bus will not bring us to USS. How unfortunate. Apparently, there were miscommunication between the Malaysian agent and the tour guide. I was lucky to have an Ezlink card so I don't have to buy a temporary pass.

The tour guide instructed us on which MRT to take and when to change. With much fuss, we managed to arrived at USS. Might as well enjoy the day. We rushed to the Transformer ride and the Revenge of the Mummy. I have to admit that it isn't so exciting or scary anymore because I already tried these rides last time. This time I wore my spectacles and kept my eyes peeled on the Mummy ride. Sis and me bought the picture of the Mummy ride with us in it because it was funny. A little boy about 9 inside the picture doesn't seemed to be scared or anything. Bravo. He just sat with a straight face.

Lay Si and me were holding hands all the way until the ride because I said that it was very scary. I think the waiting chambers are actually scarier than the ride itself.

At this point, I was quite worried because I'm planning to meet up with my cousins but I can't reach them to inform that I can't make it because my schedule is messed up. OTZ But I really want to meet them again. Maybe next time!

Anyway, we all went for lunch after that. it was very delicious. I ate a hotdog and bought an apple juice. We each had a $10 meal voucher so it wasn't so hard on our wallet. I was so hungry I even ate Lay Si's french fries. There are 6 girls including me and Sis. 4 of them bought the Dino head bottle with drinks in them. Sis wanted the Bumblebee one and I didn't see anything I like.

We saw a baby Dino toy that can move! It was so cute! Sis and Me are impressed with it but our friends weren't so. They kept saying it's fake. Of course it's fake lah! =.= But it was so impressive because it looks real. I also saw a bigger one in a crate on my way to the washroom. It was also moving!

OMG I was probably acting like a kid all throughout USS. I can't help it... I didn't have much chance to go to theme parks when I was young so now I get really excited when I see things that are out of the ordinary. LOL

We proceed to watch a show about pirates (I think?) finding for Dry Land. Lay Si said the main character looks like Thor and he really does! His enemy was even holding a hammer at that time. The girl in the show was so cool. She flung about and seemed to have never ending stamina. There were loud sounds and fire. It was so real. If you sit in the front rows, you can have water splashed at you. Looks fun but I don't want to get wet.

Next, we went to ride the Jurassic Park one. I don't know the name but it was the ride where you sit in a boat and enters a dark building. We also went to ride the spinning cups(?) at Sci-Fi City. It spun faster than the last time I rode it. 

The Madagascar was so unexpected. It was sooooo boring at the front and signs were telling us to 'turn back or you'll regret it!'. AND THEN we saw water falling from the top in front of us. We panicked and tried to use our bags to cover our head. Turned out the water stops falling when we go through LOL. The picture came out with us all desperately trying to shield ourselves from the water. I don't know how a friend that was sitting beside me managed to keep calm.

We went for Shrek's castle. I didn't want to play because I already played it last time but they were already running inside so I had to follow. 

After that was Lights, Camera, Action special effect experience thing where we are situated in a town with hurricane. It was so real. You can feel the heat and the sounds. I love it!

Then, we went on Elmo's Spaghetti Space ride and it was okay. I think it would suit a young child better. XD

At around 5pm, Sis, Lay Si, Chiok and me wanted to go souvenir shopping because we didn't have the time to stop and look around before that so we separated from the group.

On our way to the shops, I saw that the Mummy ride's waiting time was 5 minutes so I asked whether anyone wanted to go with me. Lay Si and me left for the ride while Sis and Chiok went ahead to shop. We ran through the waiting chambers and it was actually quite a long queue so we ran back out, holding hands all the time. Then, she let go and quickly ran ahead of me. WTF It was so freaky. We almost get lost. We reunited with Sis and Chiok at the shops.

As expected, things were expensive but some are worth it. I bought an Elmo and Cookie Monster cup for $20 only for Mom and Grandmother. Don't convert. I hesitated on purchasing but I really wanted to buy it for them. I went in and out of the store many times and decided to buy.

We went around USS and took pictures of each other but there will always be a person missing from the picture because that person will be holding the camera. A lady saw us taking turns and offered to take a picture with all of us inside. Yay!

After that, we took a picture individually in front of Elmo!

Saw them again!

Sis managed to buy her Bumblebee so I was the only girl without a bottle. TT^TT Grandmother said that I was at a loss because the bottles are so unique and I did not buy... So she said that she'll buy it for me when we go next time. Yay! Everyone at home wanted to go to USS after seeing the pictures.

Night time arrived. There was a Christmas show featuring Elmo and friends so we ended up exiting USS at 8pm. Some of my friends are complaining that their legs are going to break but surprisingly Sis and me were still okay. Thanks to hours of always walking to my Aunt's office  and tuitions when I'm still in school. LOL

Ate dinner at Vivo City's foodcourt. It was so hard to find a table for 12. The chicken wings I've ordered were so delicious! 3 chicken wings and rice for $5.50. After that, we sat outside and gazed upon the biggest Christmas tree in Singapore. It was pretty.

Took the MRT back to the hotel at around 9.30pm. We bought cupcakes to celebrate Su Shyan's birthday (it was the actual date). It was supposed to be a surprise but she figured it out because MJ was obviously holding a cake box...OTZ

We showered and prepared the 'party'. Lit candles and it was already 11.30pm so we panicked and rushed to assemble in MJ's room because it is the biggest. Called Su Shyan and sang 'Happy Birthday!'. We looked out the door where she's standing and saw 2 random men standing behind her, singing the song together with us. LOL! I think they are other guests on the same floor as us.

We ate and chatted. Went back to our own rooms at 12.30am. So tired... Around 1am, the boys were still loitering outside and playing cards in one of their room.
