It's been a good experience working in the nursery. I learnt to be independent and found out that I'm actually capable of doing chores and stuff. It's been a joy spending time with the children too. =D Ahh~ Now that I think back of it, I actually miss the kids very much. Luckily, I took quite a lot of pictures of them before I leave. <3
I'm waiting for 10 years later when they're be 13 and I will add them on Facebook. Haha XD They probably won't remember me though. One of them already have a FB now. Wow.
I will try to remember as many things about the kids as I can.
Royston : He likes pumpkin so maybe that's why he's so smart and he learns really fast too. At lunch, he thought red beans are peanuts and I said 'beans'. He remembered it immediately and refers it as beans. Haha I think I've been too soft on him already coz he won't stop talking to me. The other day, he got scolded by the other teacher coz he was trying to talk to me and won't sit down while I'm preparing food for them.
Geovan : He's been smiling a lot compared to the first time I've met him. He's still the last one to finish his milk... OTZ It makes us both sleepy in the kitchen when he drinks so slow...
Savannah : She saw me spoon fed Geovan his water (because he won't drink) and asked me to sppon fed her too. We sat in the kitchen alone and talked. I just realized I rarely talked to her. I miss her hoarse voice.. Sometimes when she tied pigtails to the nursery, I had to tie it back for her at the end of the day. Her hair felt like my wigs and it is so curly but that;s what makes her beautiful~
May : At least she's responding to me more than last time. I like how she actually tries to converse with me even though she rarely talks. She smiles too whenever she sees me... But she always asks about her mother's whereabouts. XD
Darrius : He drinks a lottttt of water which is good. He's also really close to his elder brother which makes it troublesome sometimes coz he wants to be together with him always.
Jing Xuan : She's also becoming more responsive.. She is always standing even if there's a chair. I also found out she's a vegetarian but she hates vege...
Howard : He becomes more rebellious as days passes.. He doesn't listen to me and I feel like he's making fun of me. He doesn't eat his food when I feed him but he does when other teacher feed him.. OTZ It makes my life hard.. He will wet himself after he woke up so I will wake him up at a specific time during naptime to let him pee.
Sasha : Still a naughty little girl. Haha~ She's really sweet, you know~ but she will wet the bed if I do not wake her up at specific time to let her pee too. OTZ
Brendan : I wake him up at the same specific time too. LOL Coz he won't tell us teachers when he wants to use the potty... I'm surprised he actually learns very fast in games! =D
Sis used to take care of the 2-year-olds but when she quit, I think the kids didn't realize anything coz I look like her. They reached out their hands towards me and tried to talk. They even smile and played with me even though they usually won't do that to teachers...

Even though I'm only with them for half a month (approx. 9 days), I felt like I know them very well and it's amazing how in just a short time, I get attached to them. I love them all. Now I'm even feeling a little sad and nostalgic...
The day after I quit, my friend LS, took over my job. She works there for 3 months. She sometimes told me stories of them too and I will feel sad coz I'm not there personally to experience them. Like how Geovan finally learns to drink his milk by himself and how May got a nosebleed after nap because the whether's too heaty. Also how Darrius won't drink water anymore and the most heart-wrenching one is how they kept asking where am I. She even recorded some videos of them when they asked her about me. Mostly, Darrius asked about me.. T^T
The day I went back to get my salary, I saw all of them again except for Royston and Jing Xuan. They recognized me and started talking at once. I even felt like crying and wanted to hug them all but ended up just ruffling their hair. Geovan and Savannah was talking excitedly and the rest looked at me happily, like maybe I am coming back. Except for Darrius. He was the first one to see me and his jaw dropped. Happiness flashed over his face for a moment then her became sad and won't talk even when I talked to him. Just staring at me without blinking, looking like he's trying to not cry. He won't even say 'bye'.
The other day, I saw Royston at McD. It's been 3 months since we last saw each other... He was at the playpen and me & sis walked over. I gave him a small wave and he stared at us. I think he remembered us coz he stared for a long time and then, sat down looking at the ground for a very long time until his mother called him. He even gave a small smile. He looks smaller though.
Some days when I miss them, I will look at my pictures of them and hope that they will still remember me next time we meet. Even though it's unlikely that they will remember my face, I hope they will remember that they once had this teacher. <3
p.s. Well, I took selfies with all of them so that's proof we met. Haha XD
